Music executive Don Jazzy has dismissed allegations that Mavin Records prioritises some artists over others, stating that the label had no reason to neglect acts it had invested in.
During an appearance on the Crea8torium podcast, Don Jazzy said differences in music releases among Mavin artists resulted from individual decisions rather than label bias.
He noted that artists who released fewer songs in a year did so by choice, and the label would release material if provided.
The music executive attributed claims of favoritism to imposter syndrome and overthinking, arguing that all signed artists received equal attention and support.
“We do see lots of comments that we do not prioritise some artists. But that isn’t true. It’s like I would just carry my money and just throw it away, just lock it inside somewhere. We obviously, invest in people to make us and themselves money. Nation
