The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, Idrisu Musa, in connection with the killing of his elder brother, Muhammed Haruna, and Haruna’s wife, Habiba Muhammed, in Asarara Village.
According to the police, the tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday when the couple were allegedly attacked with a cutlass while asleep in their home at about 5:15 a.m.
The victims reportedly sustained severe injuries during the assault and later died.
Police spokesperson, SP Bashir Usman, who confirmed the arrest in a statement issued on Saturday evening, said investigators recovered “substantial and incriminating evidence” linking the suspect to the crime. Punch
