What is the Award-Winning Project About?
The recognition celebrates the establishment of the Crisis Communication Hub (CCHub) — an innovative national framework driven by a detailed empirical research study on AI and crisis management supported by NITDA.
This initiative focuses on:
* Smart AI Governance: Leveraging AI tools for crisis communication and proactive social listening.
* Fighting Misinformation: Detecting fake news, deepfakes, and digital threats to protect public trust.
* Coordinated Crisis Response: Uniting stakeholders across the country to handle communication emergencies swiftly and strategically.
The awards were formally received during the high-level global gathering at the iconic Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens, Greece, by Hajiya Hadiza Umar representing NITDA alongside Professor Yau Sule of IMPR.
This global achievement reinforces NITDA’s commitment to advancing digital literacy, ethical AI deployment, and cutting-edge communication strategies across Nigeria.
