Adron Homes and Properties Limited has thrown its weight behind the 2026 Olojo Festival in Ile-Ife, Osun State, reaffirming its commitment to preserving Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage while promoting culture as a catalyst for tourism, investment and economic growth.
The real estate giant made the commitment during the unveiling of sponsors for the 2026 Olojo Festival, one of Ile-Ife’s foremost traditional and cultural celebrations.
Representing the Chairman of Adron Homes, Aare Adetola Olaniyi Emmanuel-King the company’s Director-General, Media and Brands Communication, Mr. Seyi Oyekunle, described the festival as more than an annual cultural gathering, stressing that Ile-Ife represents a vital source of Nigerian identity and heritage.
“It is with great honour, immense pride and a sense of responsibility that I stand here today on behalf of the Board and Management of Adron Homes. The Olojo Festival is much more than a convergence for celebration; Ile-Ife is our source.”
Oyekunle said the 2026 theme, “Cultural Preservation is Sustainable Tourism,” captures the enormous potential of Nigeria’s cultural heritage to drive sustainable development.
Preserving culture goes beyond protecting traditions and historical monuments, arguing that a well-developed cultural ecosystem can unlock opportunities in tourism, investment, employment, education, hospitality and security, he noted.
According to him, “Our responsibility is to preserve it, promote it, and create sustainable value for generations to come.”
The strength of a city should not be measured solely by its physical infrastructure, but also by the richness of its identity, history, culture, people and institutions, he added.
Oyekunle expressed appreciation to the Ooni of Ife, His Imperial Majesty Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, for providing Adron Homes the opportunity to partner with Ile-Ife in advancing the festival.
He pledged that the company’s support would extend beyond the 2026 edition, stressing that Adron Homes is committed to building long-term partnerships that promote Nigeria’s cultural assets and unlock their economic potential.
He urged Nigerians and international visitors to look beyond the ceremonial aspects of the Olojo Festival and explore the wider opportunities available in Ile-Ife, particularly in education, hospitality, tourism and real estate investment.
“Do not see culture as something belonging only to the past. Your culture can build your future. History can inspire business. The time has come for our local festivals to move from local celebrations to global recognition,” he said.
The Adron Homes delegation at the sponsorship unveiling was led by the company’s Deputy Managing Director, Mrs. Odunola Ogundapo.
The company has also demonstrated its commitment to cultural development through its support for major festivals across Nigeria, including the Ibadan Cultural Festival, Lisabi Festival in Abeokuta and Ojude Oba Festival in Ijebuland.
With its backing of the 2026 Olojo Festival, Adron Homes is positioning cultural preservation not merely as a celebration of the past, but as a pathway to tourism, enterprise, investment and a more economically vibrant future
