The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Fatai, psc, mnips, attended the opening ceremony of a one-day training programme held today, Monday, 31st August, 2026, at the M.D. Abubakar Hall, Zone 2 Headquarters.
The programme was organised by the Nigeria Police Force, Zone 2 Zonal Headquarters, Onikan, Lagos, in collaboration with the Institute for Police and Security Policy Research, with the theme, “Professionalism, Neutrality and Collaboration: Strengthening Election Security for Safe and Credible Elections.”
The training forms part of proactive measures by the Nigeria Police Force towards ensuring adequate preparedness for the upcoming elections, with focus on strengthening the professionalism, neutrality and operational readiness of police personnel, as well as fostering effective collaboration for safe, peaceful and credible elections.
The participants include the 14 Area Commanders of the Lagos State Command, as well as their counterparts from the Ogun State Command.
