Matawalle
The United World Congress of Diplomats (UN-WCD), a civil society organisation (CSO), says President Bola Tinubu should redeploy Bello Matawalle, the minister of state for defence.
Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Monday, Tunji Asaolu, secretary-general of the UN-WCD, said Matawalle’s redeployment had become necessary to eliminate “perceived internal obstacles” hindering effective action against banditry and terrorism.
Asaolu said the press conference was called to present the CSO’s assessment report on Nigeria’s ongoing war against terrorism.
He commended the growing military partnership between Nigeria and the United States, describing the joint operations as precise, disciplined and effective. Thecable
