The Nigeria Customs Service has debunked a viral press release circulating on social media, which falsely claims that a Computer-Based test for its ongoing recruitment will be held in July 2025.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the National Public Relations Officer of the Service, Assistant Comptroller Abdullahi Maiwada, described the publication as fraudulent and misleading.
“The attention of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has been drawn to a fake press release currently circulating on social media and other messaging platforms, falsely announcing the shortlist for a Computer-Based Test (CBT),” the statement read.
According to the NCS, the purported announcement did not originate from the agency and contains multiple discrepancies, including irregular formatting and an unofficial e-signature. Punch
