7 For his invaluable contributions to Nigeria, Mr. Elumelu was decorated with the prestigious national honour of Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic, (CFR).

17 Interestingly too, Mr. Elumelu again led one of the largest mergers in the banking sector in sub-Saharan Africa by acquiring United Bank for Africa (UBA), in 2005.

19 The economic philosophy of Africapitalism was coined and introduced by Mr. Elumelu.
