All is set for the unveiling of the Anambra Homeland Consciousness initiative holding on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the prestigious Villa Park Hotel and Suites, Lagos.
The laudable initiative fittingly dubbed Aku Luo Uno, is championed by the government of Anambra state under the leadership of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
Speaking recently at a media parley held to intimate members of the press about the forthcoming event, the senior special adviser/liaison officer to the governor, Barrister Leo Chiegboka, disclosed that the project was more than a meeting, but a call to action.
‘’It is time for insightful conversations that will shape the future of our homeland and reinforce our shared identity, commitment and responsibility as Ndi Anambra, both home and in the Diaspora.”
Shedding more, Chiegboka said: ‘’Our homeland is not just a place, it is our heritage, our pride and the foundation upon which we must build a prosperous future. The Anambra Homeland Conscious initiative seeks to strengthen the bond between our people, harness our collective resources and create pathways for sustainable development in Anambra State.”
Also speaking on the Aku Luo Uno concept, he argued that Ndi Anambra must not continue to invest only in other people’s homelands at the expense of ours.
‘’We need to channel our resources and investments to our homeland to replicate some of our business ideas in other places. Therefore, I urge every son and daughter of Anambra, particularly those in Lagos and beyond to attend this event. Your voice, ideas and contributions matter, ’’ he concluded.
