2: Born on December 9, 1962, age 61 years.
3: Akpabio, a native of Ukama, Ikot Ntuen in Essien Udim Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.
4: He attended Methodist Primary School, Ukama, Akwa Ibom State, the Federal Government College, Port Harcourt, Rivers State and holds a degree in Law from the University of Calabar, Cross River State.
5: Akpabio, a former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, 2001- 2015.
6: He served as the minister for Niger Delta Affairs, 2007 to 2015.
7: He was raised by his mother after the death of his father at a very young age.
8: Akpabio had a brief stint as a teacher and as an associate partner with Paul Usoro and Co, a law firm in Nigeria.
9: He also worked with EMIS Telecoms Limited, a wireless telecommunications company in Lagos.
