The Edo Police Command has disclosed that Musa Suleman, who posted his four-year-old daughter’s sensitive photos online will soon be arraigned in court.
The spokesperson for the state police command, Chidi Nwabuzor, made this known to PUNCH Metro in a telephone interview on Tuesday.
Suleman was arrested on Sunday for posting half-naked pictures of the minor via her recently deactivated Instagram account, @officialsarah_ig , as she posed erotically and engaged in adult content.
In a viral video, the suspect admitted during an interrogation by the police that he was the handler of the page and that his motive was to make her famous on social media.
“I was the one that posted those pictures on my daughter’s page. I do not mean to harm anybody, I am just used to watching content creators and comic videos online, but she is too small to engage in such, so I decided to train her as a model. She wears model clothes, and I want her to be a celebrity”, Suleman said.
The police spokesperson, Nwabuzor, revealed that Suleman would be arraigned in court soon after they concluded their discreet investigation. He also added that his daughter was in the custody of the Gender-Based Violence Unit of the Edo State Government, which would be in charge of her upbringing and welfare henceforth.
“The suspect will be arraigned in court soon. The case has been transferred to the Gender-Based Violence Unit of the Edo State Government so that they will take care and nurture the girl. The unit will be the one to investigate and conduct a test on the minor to confirm if she had been involved in any sexual activity,” he said.
