Nigerian raving singers, Rema, Burna Boy, and Asake have been nominated for the 2024 Brit Awards, the UK’s most prominent music awards ceremony.
The nomination list for the annual music awards show was released on Wednesday, January 24.
Burna Boy and Asake made the ‘Best International Artiste’ category, the pair will compete in the International Artist of the Year category against renowned global stars, including SZA, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Miley Cyrus, Lanarkshire Del Rey, CMAT, and Caroline Polachek.
While ‘Calm Down‘, the hit song by Rema, was nominated in the ‘Best International Song’ category.
RAYE broke the previous record of six nominations in a year, shared by Gorillaz, Craig David, and Robbie Williams.
Rachel Agatha Keen, the British singer better known as RAYE, set a Brit Awards record by receiving the most nominations in a year.
