She’s reserved and very peaceful. These two adjectives aptly describe nollywood star actress, producer and author. Uchechukwu Nwanneamaka Mac-Auley. Born forty something years ago to Ubulu-Uno, Delta State parents, the beautiful and svelte actress who is better known as Onome endeared herself to movie buffs with her incessant weeping roles. Formerly married to Obi Osotule, a fellow industry practitioner whom she met in 1993, on the set of Unforgiven Sin. Uche is a 1990 English graduate of Delta State University and is currently married to Solomon Mac-Auley. She is one of those people who try not to regret anything, but singled out the 6th day of March I985 as her saddest; it was the day her dear mother and role model breathed her last. Her happiest moments, however, include the day she got married, the day she won the THEMA Award… The only thing she detests about stardom, is that, “Your life is no longer yours”. And to those who are on the verge of joining the married club, her advice is: “Put God first in everything you do, perseverance and patience should be your watch-words”. Colour-wise, nothing trips her. But her favorite food, rice and plantain with a chilled bottle of anything soft will do. Uche, who enjoys listening to Christian music.
