Rapper Odumodublvck has accused police officers of attempting to arrest him unlawfully following a club performance in the early hours of Saturday.
In a now-viral video posted on X by Daygenius, a known associate of the rapper, Odumodublvck is seen inside a vehicle engaged in a heated exchange with a police officer.
The officer is heard asking the rapper why he was resisting arrest, claiming that an invitation had been previously extended to him.
“Invitation was sent to you, it’s okay. What I want to ask you now, are you resisting an arrest? If you’re not resisting an arrest, tell me why you are not following the police?” the officer asked.
Odumodublvck is heard responding that his lawyers had already addressed the matter and that the officer lacked the jurisdiction to arrest him.
“You don’t have the jurisdiction; you came to my house. Don’t tell me to wait. You told my estate people to tell me to come, and I told my lawyers, and they attended to it. I am not resisting an arrest. My lawyers attended to it,” the rapper said in the clip.
Daygenius, who posted the video, alleged that the rapper presented a document to the officers showing that the arrest should not proceed.
He also suggested that the incident was connected to Odumodublvck’s ongoing legal dispute with fellow rapper Blaqbonez.
“At the club this morning, they tried to illegally arrest Odumodublvck after his electrifying performance at BOHO. He showed them a document that nullified the arrest,” he wrote.
“Shebi the matter dey court, and his lawyers are attending to it. Why are they trying to illegally pick him just to score PR points. These people are shameless asf.”
The altercation comes amid a nearly year-long feud between Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez, with the former frequently levelling allegations against his colleague on social media.
In July, Blaqbonez filed a N2.55 billion lawsuit against Odumodublvck over alleged “defamation and harassment”.
