The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the United Bank for Africa Plc, Oliver Alawuba, has urged leaders and key stakeholders in the South-East to prioritize peace and security of the region.
He also called on them to promote infrastructure development and deliver bankable, investment-ready projects to unlock the region’s long-term development potential.
According to a statement shared with Sunday PUNCH, Alawuba made the call in his goodwill remarks at the South-East Vision 2050 Regional Stakeholder Forum held on Wednesday at the International Conference Centre, Enugu.
The forum, which focused on advancing the South-East Vision 2050 development framework, was convened by the South-East Development Commission in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President, the Ministry of Regional Development, and South-East state governments. Punch
