Veteran actor and Chairman, Board of Trustees for the Action Guild of Nigeria, Ifeanyi Dike is dead.
This was confirmed to DAYLIGHTNG by the former president of the Actor’s Guild of Nigeria, Emma Oguguah.
Dike died at a hospital in the Gbagada area of Lagos State after battling with an illness for some weeks.
In an emotion-laden chat with our correspondent, Oguguah revealed that Dike had been living on transplanted kidney for the last 10 years.
The ex AGN President revealed that though no medical report has been received, it is most likely that the actor died from the kidney-related illness.
_”My brother, I have lost my best friend and political ally. Nollywood has lost a legend and a leader. A very sad loss to the creative community and Nollywood in general. May his soul rest in peace, cried” Oguguah
The sad news comes shortly after the death of veteran actor, Victor Olaitan, was announced by his widow.
Meanwhile, late Dike, also a top presenter on TV, was the founding president of AGN.
He founded the guild in 1993 alongside Emmanuel Ogugua, Okey Bakassi, SunnyMc Don and Murphy Stephens.
